Description
There are few times in one's life that you see something that stops you dead in your tracks. This was one of those times. I was driving down Memorial Drive around 8pm coming from taking a few shots of the Boston Skyline and Charles River from the Museum of Science. The puffy white clouds of a half hour before were turning dark from the approaching thunderstorm.
All of a sudden there was a break in the clouds and the orange rays from the setting sun pierced through to shine on the skyscrapers of Back Bay turning them a fiery orange/red. I knew this amazing light would only last a few minutes and I had to stifle the urge to stop the car in the middle of the road! I frantically drove to the next U Turn, found a quick spot to legally park, which was nothing short of a miracle, grabbed my camera and tripod out of the trunk and started snapping away.
The brilliance of light against the buildings from 5 minutes before had lost a little of it's luminance, but I took what I could just happy to be in that spot at that time.
